I practiced surgery. And in surgery, a major challenge is wound healing. And we know that cigarette smoking causes constriction of blood vessels and constriction of blood vessels inhibits the healing of wounds. And so as surgeons, we would always tell our patients, please don't smoke. It will impair your healing.
